Records Requirements
Redemptorist St. Gerard School requires the following documentation:
- Baptismal Certificates
- Health Records
- Official Report Card
- Other Documentation (if applicable/requested)
- Test Results
- Custody Documentations
- IEP's
The minimum age for kindergarten shall be age five (5) by September 30
Tuition
The annual tuition rate is based on projections of the per pupil cost less contributions from the parish, donors, and fundraising. Financial stability at Redemptorist St. Gerard is contingent on a timely remittance of tuition, fundraisers, receipt of donations, grants, and fellowships, and proper fiscal management by the pastor and school finance officer. Tuition for the academic year will be determined each year before registration.
Scholarships & Aide
Tuition Donation Credit Program
- ACE Scholarship Program provides partial tuition assistance for students in Grades K – 8, based on level of income for the family. Application process typically opens March 1. Information for applying, including income eligibility, is located at https://www.acescholarships.org/become-a-scholar/louisiana/
- Arete Scholars Program provides partial tuition assistance for returning students in Grades K – 8, based on level of income for the family. Application process typically opens February 27 th and ends on May 31. Contact should be made directly with the Arete Program (www.aretescholars.org)
- Aspiring Scholars Program provides partial tuition assistance for returning students in Grades K – 8, based on level of income for the family. Applications for new scholars are considered on a first come, first served basis. All applications will be accepted through the FACTS portal. Families will be notified by mid-June if they have been awarded.
- Students enrolled in the special education REACH program whose families receive assistance through tuition Donation Credit Programs are also eligible for Black & Indian Mission Fund and Diocese of Baton Rouge Tuition Assistance.
LA Gator
Transitioning from LSP to LA GATOR
The Louisiana Scholarship Program (LSP) will continue through the end of the 2024–2025 school year and will sunset on June 30, 2025.
As part of this transition:
All current LSP students and schools received priority access to apply for the 2025–2026 LA GATOR Scholarship Program.
LSP families who applied to LA GATOR during the application window that was open March 1 to April 15 are Priority 1 in LA GATOR’s funding order.
Final award notifications will be sent after the Louisiana Legislature finalizes the state budget, expected in June 2025.
Current LSP Families
Students who participated in the Louisiana Scholarship Program during 2024–2025 are part of Phase 1, Priority 1 in the LA GATOR Scholarship Program.
These students will be first in line for funding if they submitted a LA GATOR application before the April 15 deadline.
Award notifications will be sent through the Odyssey platform after the state budget is finalized.
Current LSP Schools
Any nonpublic school that participated in the Louisiana Scholarship Program during the 2024–2025 school year and remains in good standing is automatically eligible to participate in LA GATOR for 2025–2026.
What you need to know:
No new approval application is required for the 2025–2026 school year
Schools must register through the Odyssey platform and complete required program attestations
Beginning with the 2026–2027 school year, all schools must follow the standard LA GATOR application process
