Meet Our Principal – Mrs. Michelle Wheeler

We are proud to welcome Mrs. Michelle Wheeler as the principal of Redemptorist St. Gerard Catholic School. A dedicated and passionate educator, Mrs. Wheeler brings over 33 years of experience in education, having served as a teacher, state department consultant, and school administrator.

Most of her career was spent serving the students and families of Livingston Parish. As a Distinguished Educator, she worked with the Louisiana Department of Education, supporting schools across the state through her expertise and leadership. After her time at the department, she returned to Livingston Parish, where she served as a beloved principal for nine years before retiring.

Now stepping into her newest chapter at RSG, Mrs. Wheeler is excited to return to her roots in Catholic education. Coming from a family of educators who nurtured her deep love of learning and strong Catholic values, she sees this role as a true calling—an opportunity to blend faith and education in service to our school community.

Mrs. Wheeler looks forward to partnering with our dedicated faculty and staff, supporting our amazing students, and building strong connections with parents and community stakeholders. Her passion, experience, and faith-driven approach make her a blessing to our school family.
